IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

All users must read and understand the instructions prior to use. Improper installation may result in serious injury or death. The Manufacturer assumes no liability in the event of improper installation, product misuse, or failure of wood construction substrate. Do not alter or modify the H-Bracket.

All H-Brackets need to be inspected carefully prior to every new installation. Replace immediately if you notice any signs of excessive wear, damage, rust or abuse.

Never use nails or unspecified fasteners to anchor H-Bracket.

 

  • INSTALLATION GUIDE

 

Concrete Surfaces

    1. Place H-Bracket on installation surface and mark locations for anchors, Remove H-Bracket.
    2. (A) Using a hammer drill and 3/8” masonry drill bit, drill holes to depth of concrete anchor manufacturer installation requirements. (B) Use compressed air to blow out drilled hole to remove excess concrete dust.
    3. Place H-Bracket and fasten to concrete surface according to fastener installation instructions.
    4. Install end of construction grade 2×4 into one side of the H-Bracket.
    5. Insert locking Hitch pins in holes provided at top corners of H-Bracket.
    6. At opposite end, slide another H-Bracket on end of 2×4 to ensure tight fit between H-Brackets.
    7. Mark locations for anchors, repeat Steps 2 and 3, and insert hitch pins in holes provided at top corners of  H-Brackets to secure toe board in place.

 

  • Repeat as needed.

 

**Minimum 3/8” x 2.5” concrete anchor recommended. All Concrete surfaces must reach design strength prior to installation of H-Bracket.**

Wood Surfaces/ Plywood or OSB ( 2 locking Hitch pins provided with all orders.)

      *Minimum 3/8” x 3” lag screws to anchor into wood surfaces.

       * All Plywood must be anchored through floor joist or solid 2x lumber blocking on the underside of subfloor using the 2 primary holes on the bracket.

       

  1. Place H-Bracket on installation surface and fasten to surface using a drill and 3/8” x 3” lag screws according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
  2. Install end of construction grade 2×4 into one side of the H-Bracket.
  3. Insert locking Hitch pins in holes provided at top corners of H-Bracket.
  4. Install another H-Bracket at the opposite end of the 2×4.
  5. At opposite end, slide another H-Bracket on end of 2×4 to ensure tight fit between H-Brackets, fasten H-Bracket and insert locking Hitch pins into holes provided at top corners of H-Bracket to secure toe board.
  6. Repeat as needed.

All H-Brackets come complete with two locking Hitch pins for quick and easy installation and removal of 2×4’s. This eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners which may damage or split the end of the 2X4’s, thus allowing re-use of all materials.
